The dream that overshadowed Reality
It didn't feel like water but she was pretty sure of the presence of water. She let her legs down towards the sand in order to investigate. It was of meager importance though but she felt so uneasy that she had to know. The water still troubled her since she felt nothing but vacuum. This was the least of her troubles anyway because she remembered nothing before the previous day. It was all blurry and all she knew was that she was somewhere near the countryside and she knew her name. It felt like a bloody hangover but this one was worse, really bad and the water mystery exacerbated her existing plight.
After an ample amount of time and energy she fainted. "All was a dream then", she thought to herself before opening her eyes. As she lay still she thought about her day's plan. "Nothing defining at the moment", she murmured. "But I can't have nothing for this weekend as well, I got to do something", she gasped. She opened her eyes, the sun blinded her for an instant and she could see the horizon. She could hear the waves but no water, just sand and sand everywhere. Her disbelief and dismay accumulated to a high shrill which became nearly feeble..
"I am still dreaming", thinking she closed her eyes and opened it. Still the same golden hue everywhere.
The beguiled girl got up and started walking towards nowhere. She didn't want to cry, she just wanted answers. She always wanted a simple uncomplicated life, but as they say life is never easy.
As she walked, she could see her whole life in front of her eyes. The feeling of fear was juxtaposed with amusement.
She realized how dry its going to be, how outrageously cupid like life can be. There was this breeze that reminded her of peace and freedom. It reminded her of loneliness and of being loved. Gentleness inadvertently took over her soul and she was swept of to reality.
Amy could hear the usual buzz, birds chirping, bells chiming, and her own breath.
She woke up to see her old and lovely room. She missed it so badly. Once in front of the mirror she could see a pretty face "Hmm.. Hi.. I missed you", she whispered.
After a hot cup of coffee, she sat in her room, looking out through the only doorway to the outside world.
She wondered "Was there any significance? It felt so real and it meant something"
"Oh God! Only if i knew!"
